As
promised, below are some examples of my work. The two
pieces of work that can be found below were produced by myself
during my second year of university. At the moment
these are the only
pieces of work I have "on show"; however, I intend to
add further pieces of work as and when time permits.
To
the left are three links; the first leading to a piece of work
produced by myself during my third year in university.
This particular piece of work is in fact an essay focused on
the continuing debate over accounting for acquisitions and
mergers. Specifically, the essay questions whether firms
should be allowed to use the "Pooling of Interests"
method to account for consolidation transactions. The
second and third links lead to a copy of the lecturers initial
instructions, and the evaluation respectively (each pertaining
to the essay in question). |

A
link to a further essay written by myself (amongst others) can
be found to the left. This essay is focused on
accounting practice in an international context; in
particular, how financial analysis of firms in different
countries can be flawed due to the differences in accounting
practice in those respective countries. In the second
link to the left, I have included the lecturers initial
instructions in respect of the essay. The grades for
this assignment have not yet been returned. Whilst I
would like to take all the credit for this piece of work, it
was in actual fact a collaborative effort, involving the
skills, and knowledge of thee other individuals (namely
Scarlett Aston, John Foy, and Neil Pennington). |
